This is a part-time (10 hours a week) paid internship opportunity, suitable for college students, graduate students or high school seniors.

Aam The Label is looking for a scrappy, driven Business Development Intern who is looking to get first-hand experience in growing a fashion brand. The position will report directly to our CEO, Neha. In this role, you will spearhead several sales initiatives for the business, including, but not limited to:

  • Researching and compiling comprehensive buyer lists for potential retail partners both in the U.S. and internationally
  • Creating visually engaging and persuasive pitch decks to present our brand to buyers
  • Conducting sales outreach, including emailing, calling, and following up with buyers to introduce our brand and securing meetings
  • Collaborating with the CEO to refine sales pitches and strategies
  • Tracking and managing sales leads, maintaining organized records of all outreach efforts
  • Taking initiative to find new opportunities and think creatively about how to get our brand into stores

This position will require you to take on a leadership role at a small, fast-paced fashion brand. You must be excited about brand expansion and be able to think creatively about how to grow our brick-and-mortar presence.

Required Qualifications:

  • A natural conversationalist. Loves striking up a conversation and connecting with new people. Sales outreach and follow up doesn't scare you. 
  • Clear communication skills. Open, honest and clear communicator (written and verbal), willing to collaborate and receptive to feedback.
  • Superior time management. Highly organized, sticks to a working schedule across multiple priorities and clearly communicates delays. 
  • Intellectual curiosity and drive. Excels in a fast-paced learning environment and isn’t afraid to speak up. You'll be working with a CEO who values your opinion.

Prior retail or sales experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation:

The internship is remote, and part-time (10 hrs per week). You will be compensated $700 a month, plus earn a commission on every sale you bring in. You will be mentored by the CEO with access to her professional network and given a written referral for future roles.
