1. Waist

  • Find your natural waistline — it’s the narrowest part of your torso, just above your belly button.
  • Relax your stomach and breathe naturally.
  • Wrap the tape around your waist without pulling it too tight.
  • Keep the tape snug but comfortable.

2. Hips

  • Stand with your feet together.
  • Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks (usually about 7–9 inches below your waist).
  • Keep the measuring tape straight and parallel to the floor.

3. Shoulder Width

  • Stand upright with your back straight.
  • Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other, across the back.
  • Keep the tape straight and level.

4. Arm Length

  • Start at the top of your shoulder.
  • Measure down to your wrist bone, with your arm slightly bent.

5. Inseam (for pants/jeans)

  • Stand with your feet slightly apart.
  • Measure from the top of your inner thigh down to your ankle bone.
